Since 1 January 2010, every German bank customer who receives investment advice has had the right to a written record of it. The record notes, among other things, the reason for the advice, the length of the conversation, the customer’s personal situation and the recommendations made. In 2012 the market watch of the Federal Consumer Organization ran 50 test consultations, which produced 42 records. So enthielt kein einziges Protokoll alle relevanten Informationen.
