Every year Gallup asks Americans how much confidence they have in their institutions. In June 2025, 70% said they had a great deal or quite a lot of confidence in small business. It ranked first, ahead of the military at 62% and science at 61%. Big business stood at 15%.
In the same year, 95% of Americans said they view small business positively.
