The Star Nite Awards 2011 in Delhi honored resellers of information technology products. The event was set for 6:30 p.m. At 7 it was still nowhere near starting, because the invited sponsors and businessmen had not come. The chief guest, Shankar Aggarwal, an additional secretary in the Department of Information Technology, got up to leave. The organizers tried to calm him.
“The ceremonial lamp was lit 10 minutes later with many industry big shots still missing,” Open magazine reported.
